Q
Lawns turf is used all over England in all sorts of situations. Every year,
thousands of family lawns, several parks and many show gardens are instantly
transformed with this hardwearing but good looking lawn turf.
There
are two grades of Q Lawns turf:
Q
Lawn Grade: A hardwearing turf grown to TGA Standard, Q Lawn grade is
suitable for most applications. Seedmix is typically 30% dwarf perennial
ryegrass, 35% slender creeping red fescue grass, 25% strong creeping red fescue
and 10%smoothstalk meadow grass. It's attractive, has excellent handling
properties, it's relatively easy to care for and it's competitively priced.

RTF
Turf: After 20 years of plant breeding, research and development and testing
RTF Turf came onto the market in 2006.
-
RTF stands for Rhizomatous Tall Fescue
which is a new breed of grass with a really robust root system.
-
The roots can go
down 1.5 metres (4 1/2 feet) into the soil which means that once it's
established, this turf can reach water deep below the surface helping it to stay
greener for longer during a dry summer.
-
It also tolerates partial shade and a
certain amount of waterlogging.
-
Because there are limited stocks, RTF is
slightly more expensive than Q-Lawn grade turf but if your garden is inclined to
dry out quickly, you'll find this turf much easier to care for because it will
need considerably less irrigation than a standard lawn.

Q Lawns Turf is popular with celebrity gardeners.
